at 1550 Hours on the afternoon of November 26, 2011 Volunteers responded a house fire started by a child playing with a lighter in an upstairs bedroom. The fire was extinguished and Volunteers returned to service about 3 hours later.

At 0050 Hours the 911 Communications center received a call from the alarm company stating that there was a 1st floor Smoke alarm activation. The St. Mary's 911 Center dispatched the alarm as an AFA. While the first units were marking up the 911 center then began to receive numerous calls stating the house was on fire, some callers advised the house had exploded. The 911 center then upgraded the assignment and added additional resources at the request of Chief 3 due to the close proximity of neighboring structures. When Safety 3 arrived on the scene he advised of a Fully Involved House Fire, With a structure being threatened on side Delta. Units arrived on scene and began exterior fire fighting operations and exposure protection on the Delta Exposure. Engine 32 placed there deck gun in service and multiple hand lines. Once Truck 3 arrived on the scene they set up ladder pipe operations and started to get a knock on the fire. Units operated on this incident well into the morning. The nature and cause of this fire is under investigation by State Fire Marshals Office.
